A Sweet Kiss

     Pallavi and Karthik became best friends after they met in a musical concert which was organized by the club in Pallavi's college. Pallavi was a volunteer where she had to take care of all the media relations of the fest. Karthik was working in a web based media channel in chennai, he was also present at the concert to interview the celebrities who would visit that grand event. She managed to help him in this process. Those moments have sown a seed for their long lasting relationship. Their frequent phone talks made it sprung to next level in their relationship. 

    The phone was ringing in Karthik's home. He was so sweaty and involved in the chores of his home. It took some time to attend the call. He washed his hand and wiped with a towel. Then he found that the call was from his friend Pallavi. There was a little smile as he was expecting that call the day before.

      He rang back to her. She attended the call. Hey Karthik, "What were you doing?" asked Pallavi.

"I am cleaning my house", replied Karthik.

"Where is your wife? Why are you cleaning the house? Did she browbeat you Mr.?" Pallavi teased him.

"No, it's purely my intention to clean the house", said Karthik. "Our marriage was arranged by our parents and we never knew each other before that. At the start of our relationship, I didn’t show much interest in her because I was in a relationship with another girl and it got broken by our parents due to the cultural restrictions we have in our community."

"So sorry for this Karthik. You never revealed me this", said Pallavi.

"Nothing to feel sorry about Pallavi, I am happy in my present relationship with my better half."

"Then why the hell are you cleaning your home. Doesn't she do this for you?" asked pallavi.

"She is  very good at chores. She takes well care of me and my five year old daughter", said Karthik.

"My wife visits her parents once every two months. I use this chance to express my love towards her. I find this time to clean the house and buy the things for the household which makes her happy. Though it's clean, I will do that to surprise and impress my wife. Once she comes back from my in laws house, she will mesmerize by seeing the house and will give a hug and a kiss on my forehead. I impress my wife in this way to get that kiss. Nothing in this world can buy me that happiness, which I get through the kiss of her. I think it is the sweetest kiss one can have", said Karthik.

"I hope I will get a husband to offer the sweetest kiss soon", replied Pallavi.
